Karivellur–Peralam is an agriculturally important Grama Panchayat located at the northernmost part of Kannur District. The Panchayat shares its boundaries with Kankole–Alapadamba Grama Panchayat to the east, Payyannur Municipality to the south, Trikaripur–Pilicode Grama Panchayat to the west, and Pilicode and Kayyur–Cheemeni Grama Panchayats to the north.
National Highway 66 passes through the central part of the Grama Panchayat. The Panchayat is endowed with numerous small hills, natural springs, sacred groves, and other rich natural resources, contributing to its distinctive geographical and ecological character.
